The Obsidian Chronicles: Altered Genesis : Chapter 4 : The Guardians of the Core

Chapter 4 : The Guardians of the Core - By LM Blair

The titans are immortal and sleep for thousands of years until needed to be called into existence again. These are the immortal protectors of the Mantle, the guardians of the inner core. The Skyscreamers also protect the skies.

The Titans, the immortal protectors of Amentia, were not just surface dwellers. They were also the guardians of the inner core, the heart of Amentia. This was a role of immense responsibility, for the core was the source of Amentia’s life force, its energy, its spirit.

The Titans were immortal, their life spans stretching across eons. They did not age or decay, but remained as strong and as resilient as the day they were born. They were beings of incredible endurance, able to withstand the pressures and temperatures of the core.

But even immortals need rest. The Titans would sleep for thousands of years, their bodies becoming one with the rock and the magma. They would lie dormant, their energy conserved, their consciousness in a state of deep hibernation. But they were not dead, merely sleeping, waiting for the time when they would be needed again.

When that time came, when Amentia was threatened, the Titans would awaken. They would rise from the depths, their bodies glowing with the heat of the core, their eyes burning with the fire of determination. They would emerge from the earth, ready to defend their home, ready to fight for Amentia.

But the Titans were not the only protectors of Amentia. There were also the Skyscreamers, the guardians of the skies. They were magnificent creatures, their bodies sleek and aerodynamic, their wings wide and powerful. They soared through the skies, their eyes ever watchful, their senses attuned to the slightest disturbance.

The Skyscreamers were the first line of defense, the early warning system. They would detect the invaders long before they reached Amentia, their cries alerting the Titans, their actions buying precious time. They were the eyes and the ears of Amentia, their vigilance a testament to their dedication.

Together, the Titans and the Skyscreamers formed a formidable defense. They were the guardians of Amentia, the protectors of the core and the skies. They were the embodiment of Amentia’s will to survive, its determination to protect itself. They were the heroes of the Obsidian Chronicles, their deeds a testament to their courage and their love for their home.
